Delmont, PA - The AMA MX National Series came to a conclusion over the holiday weekend at Steel City MX Park in Delmont, Pennsylvania. Division 7/Star Racing/Yamaha comprised of #41 Matt Lemoine, #43 Broc Tickle, #159 Darryn Durham, #164 Michael Hall, and newcomer #455 Lucas Moraes came in with hopes of showing their faces at the front of the pack one last time. Unfortunately for Durham, after qualifying 27th with the still injured shoulder, he would opt to stay off the bike and not race since the strength wasn’t up to par.

 

The first moto was a trying one at that for the team leader, Tickle started 35th, and after a few less fortunate moments he battled right to the end, finishing 11th. Moto two just didn’t pan out either, on lap one Broc found himself starting in 15th.  Early on Tickle paced himself just outside the top ten until the midway point when he made a sprint forward and took over 10th. Continuing with a great charge ahead, 9th was where he’d settle in the final moto.

 

Lemoine had a first moto he would rather not remember, starting 21st, he diced it out the entire thirty minutes securing 16th place which was commendable. The second moto for Lemoine went somewhat more positive, as his presence was noticeable and felt. Starting 10th,  Lemoine rebounded by battling with his #43 teammate for much of the race and the Texan mustered up a 11th place finish.

 

Hall had a hard start to his weekend, starting moto one with a crash on the first lap, Hall would call it quits and rest up for the second go around.  Still having issues, moto two started horribly for Hall who sat 39th. On the steady side of things and riding strongly, Hall made his way by several riders claiming 26th to close out the season.

 

With the twelve race championship in the books, the series rankings shaped up with our riders:

 

Tickle 7th Lemoine 10th, Durham 12th Hall 28^th
